William Edward Nieporte

William (Bill) Edward Nieporte,age 75, of Palm Desert, California passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 29, 2017. Bill was born May 13th, 1942 in Cincinnati, Ohio to parents Frances and Ralph Nieporte. Bill graduated from Xavier University and got his MBA from the University of Detroit. Bill married Lorraine Finnerty in 1966. After a thirty-two year career with the Ford Motor Company, serving as a Regional Manager for the Lincoln Mercury Division on the East and West coast, Bill retired in 1995. Bill's passion was his family and he loved the role of "Pop-Pop" to his six grandchildren. He was an overall sports enthusiast and avid golfer who loved the desert sun, a good glass of wine, and any well designed golf course. Bill is survived by and was a loving husband to Lorraine (Finnerty) Nieporte for fifty-one years; a beloved father of William Nieporte,Grant Nieporte and Ryan Nieporte, daughter-in-law's Karen Nieporte, Jill Nieporte and Stacey Nieporte, and cherished grandfather of Gabrielle, Olivia, Abigail, Ford, Abram and Sloan; Bill’s sister Mary Rice (Nieporte) and her husband George Rice; brother-in-law Lindol Myers; Maribeth, Baloo, grand-niece Ana Subramaniam and many nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. Bill is preceded in death by his sister Patricia Myers (Nieporte), and his sister Barbara Leugers (Nieporte).
