Wanda Elaine Kellett, born on March 20, 1926 in Oasis, MO, was 90 years 5 months old at the time of her passing. She lived in Sacramento, Ca and died on Aug. 28, 2016. Here parent's names were John and Grace Jackson. She was the youngest of 7 children. All of her brothers and sisters passed before her. She was married first to Hobert Awbery, now deceased, and had two children by this marriage and lived in Southern, Mo. She later married her high school sweetheart, Dean Kellett, also now deceased, and moved to CA in 1961. Wanda and Dean first rented in Bell, CA then in South Gate, CA before they bought a home in Santa Fe Springs where they lived until retirement. They retired in Paso Robles, CA and lived there until Dean's death in 1997. Wanda later moved to Sacramento, CA to be nearer her children. She was a strong women, dealing with the need to care for two young children as a single mother during a time when this was not common. She was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis during here mid-thirties. She never complained about the pain or let the pain interfere with her life. She played golf using baseball gloves she modified by sewing pads to the fingers to ease the pain, walked several miles per week and swam often to remain mobile and flexible. Seeing her sitting in the floor playing with great grandchildren was not uncommon. She was resourceful, finding ""farm wife"" solutions to help her in her daily life. She was self-sufficient, living alone and driving to church, nearby doctor appointments and the grocery story until her death. She was a kind, devout Christian woman who regularly attended the Christian Life Center while in Paso Robles and Arcadia Baptist church in the Sacramento area. She had a tendency toward being a private person keeping her own council, but enjoyed the friendship of many during her lifetime. She was pleasant to all she met. She is survived by her son and daughter, David and Cheryl, four grandchildren, Aaron, James, Daniel and Kristen, 7 great grandchildren, Raelynn, Alec, Sierra, Caden, Devin, Annabella and Amber, and 1 great, great, grandchild, Monika, who loved her and whom she dearly loved. She enjoyed being with her family more than most anything. She was a strong and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
