WALTER R. SENINI Entered in life September 18, 1927, left us October 1, 2015, at age 88. Walt was a native Sacramentan, a graduate of Christian Brothers High School and the University of San Francisco. As soon as he turned 18, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving his country in the Hawaiian Islands. Soon after graduating college, Walt was employed by the State Board of Equalization as a property tax appraiser and advanced until he became head of the Property Tax department. His next move was to seek early retirement to create his own successful real estate appraisal company. When not busy evaluating properties throughout northern California, he and wife, Gerry, traveled extensively throughout the U.S. and the many others part of the world, but his true passions were his family, friends, and golf. Walt was kind, generous, affectionate and always a gentleman. He greeted everyone with a warm handshake for the men and a warm hug for the women. Walt was loved and will be missed by his wife of 39 years, Gerry, stepchildren Ed (Vicki), Steve (Gaby), and Kristin Gomes, grandchildren Alex Gomes-Coelhho, Carissa McAlister and his extended family and friends. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015, 10:00 a.m., at St. Mel's Catholic Church, 4745 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fair Oaks, CA. An inurnment ceremony will follow on Friday, October 23, at the National Veterans' Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
