Scott Sidney Johnson, currently of Marysville, CA, died on Thursday, July 6, in Roseville, California with family and friends by his side. Scott was born Dec. 30, 1957, in Lancaster, California. After graduating from high school, Scott moved to Dobbins, California, where he eventually raised his family. In 2003, Scott obtained his M.A. in Instructional Design from Chico State and moved to Washington, D.C. to pursue his career. While in D.C., he was baptized, met and married his wife, and made many friends who love him dearly. Scott was a chef at the Uriz Hotel and Restaurant for many years. He was an avid fisherman, a skilled gardener, and a master storyteller. He enjoyed nature, the mountains, and music. Scott was an amazing cook and was most happy when he was feeding those he loved. He made everybody around him feel at home; he enjoyed life and the people he encountered along the way. He will be greatly missed from coast to coast. Scott is survived by his wife, Barbara Dillon; his mother, Nancy Soares; brother, Kyle Johnson and sister-in-law, Tracy Johnson; children, Alasdair Stone, Astrid Stone, Emily Darnel, and Violet Johnson; grandchildren, Gabriel, Natalia, Lily, Zoe, Michael ,Victoria, Anastasia and Edgar; and many other family members and friends who love him.
