Alejandra “Sandra” Weyna was born February 14, 1958 in Elmhurst, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents Lee Shappa Sr. and Rebecca Garcia Shappa. Sandra was raised in an extremely loving family and was survived by eight siblings: Gloria Snyder, Amy Niño, Fran Scepanovich, Gena Bobek Shappa, Lee Shappa Jr., Mary Shappa, Randy Shappa; and Raymond Shappa. Sandra worked in the restaurant industry where she was able to share her glowing personality with many. She never met a stranger because she treated everyone like family. Her smile and warmth were contagious, and her hilarious sense of humor filled endless rooms with laughter through her last days. She had an outgoing nature that attracted people like a magnet. No one was in need for even the smallest thing in her presence because of her kindness and compassion. She had a huge heart and gave generously to all...even feeding entire neighborhoods though she didn’t have an abundance to give; however, she did have an abundance of genuine love for everyone she met…and they loved her in return. The love she displayed is apparent in her children: Adela Marshall and husband, Hugh; Foro Cantu and wife, Tiffany; Melanie Cantu; and Virgil Lee Graham. She will also be missed by her seven grandchildren: Jasmine, Giana, Amaya, Brooklynn, Laila, Ava and Luna. Sandra’s love was bountiful and those around her will never forget her caring affection. She looked forward to a time when she could continue to show her love and be reunited with family and friends.
