Sandra S. Norwood

Sandra S. Norwood passed away peacefully in her Fair Oaks home on November 27, 2022.

She was born on October 24, 1942 to Glenn and Dora Stoffer in Taft, California. Her family moved to Placerville when she was three years old. She was a student at Placerville Elementary School and later Graduated from El Dorado High School in1960. Sandra was active in the Student Council and in junior varsity and varsity cheerleading. She studied at Chico State for one year.

In 1967 she moved to Sacramento where she pursued a career in Court Reporting. Sandra started her deposition career with Capitol Reporters and then worked at Shellooe and King. During the next 30 years that followed she established three companies providing reporting, medical records service and video services for the legal field in our area, Phillips and Westerberg, Phillips and Associates and Phillips Legal Services.

Sandra was an animal advocate and an avid golfer at the Northridge Country Club for over 25 years.

Sandra is survived by her daughter Laurie Kling, she had married Virgil Norwood in 1991 and became stepmother to his three children Cerita Briggs, Sharon Haupt and Brian Norwood. Virgil passed away in 2011. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

At Sandra's request the family is having a private graveside service.

In lieu of flowers a charitable donation can be made in Sandra's honor to the Placer County SPCA.
