On January the 10th, 2019, Sammy Leroy Trujillo, husband and father of 3 children, went to be with the Lord at the age of 72. Sammy was born June 16th, 1946 in Sacramento, California to Samuel and Freda Trujillo. He graduated from La Sierra High School with many athletic and Physical Education honors in 1965. He served in the Army, which included a tour of duty in Korea from 1967 to 1969. Sammy was employed by the City of Sacramento, Parks Department for 37 years. He was married to Linda Trujillo, and was a father to his daughters, Jennifer and Candra and his son Abram. Sammy had a passion for sports, weightlifting, and fishing. As a senior in high school, he was sent to Hollywood as a representative of La Sierra, for the media coverage of his high school's prolific P.E. program. He was known for being a quiet person with a very loving spirit. Sammy was preceded in his death by his sister Sylvia, his mother Freda, and his father Samuel. He is survived by his wife Linda, and his three children, Jennifer, Candra, and Abram, his sisters Delores, Priscilla, and Gloria, and his brothers Leonard and Robert, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and their children. A memorial service will be held February 23rd, 2019 at Warehouse Christian Ministries (9933 Business Park Dr, Sacramento, CA 95827) at 11 o'clock a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Warehouse Christian Ministries for their great help in providing a venue and services for this memorial.
