Roger Albert Salinas

In Loving Memory of  Roger Albert Salinas, a man whose love, compassion, and kindness will forever be in our hearts.

Roger Albert Salinas, born on November 30, 1949, in San Francisco, CA, embarked on his life's journey in the Sunset district, near Ocean Beach, where he shared cherished moments with his twin brother Ralph Salinas. It was here that Roger met the love of his life, Donna, at the tender age of 12. This meeting marked the beginning of a truly remarkable 55-year journey of shared love and passion, a true inspiration to everyone around them.

Roger dedicated a significant portion of his life as a truck driver for Coca-Cola, navigating the streets of his beloved city, San Francisco. His commitment to his work was a reflection of his deep connection to the community he served.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Roger found immense joy in various creative endeavors. Gardening and carpentry work were his outlets for self-expression, allowing him to cultivate beauty and craftsmanship in the world around him. His enthusiasm for holidays was infectious, and he delighted in adorning his home with festive decorations, transforming it into a beacon of seasonal cheer for all to enjoy.

Active and engaged in his community, Roger was an esteemed member of several committees that worked tirelessly to uplift and enhance the lives of those around him. His unwavering dedication and contributions left an indelible mark on the neighborhoods he served.

Roger's legacy lives on through the cherished memories he forged with his beloved family. He is survived by his adoring wife, Donna Salinas (Zayas), whose love and companionship were the foundation of his life. His daughter, Lisa Marie Salinas, brought him immeasurable pride and joy, while his grandchildren, Emma, and Aidan Salinas, continued to fill his heart with love and happiness.

Roger is also survived by his twin brother, Ralph Salinas, and his wife Carol along with his sister, Michelle Lavorini (Salinas), and her husband, Paul.  He leaves behind many nieces, nephews,  cousins, and extended family who have always been a source of great pleasure to him.   Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Rafael Salinas and Conchita Salinas (Bala).

Roger's legacy is one of unconditional love and compassion, a testament to his boundless giving spirit. His kindness and empathy touched the lives of countless individuals, leaving an enduring imprint on all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Roger, let us remember him not only for his remarkable achievements but also for his role as the most giving, compassionate, and loving soul on Earth.
