Roger Don Hartgraves

Roger Don Hartgraves, 82, passed on May 10, 2018, in Sacramento, CA. He was born in Oklahoma and at 3 years old his family moved to California where he grew up in Mountain View. Survived by his wife Doris Hartgraves of 42 years and their children Nick (Vickie) Arnolde, Susie (Ben) Partington, Mike Hartgraves, Jeff Hartgraves, Sheila (Tim) Kelly, Steve Hartgraves and their grandchildren Ericka Hall, Dustin Hill, Jason Arnolde, Nicole Arnolde, Stephen Hartgraves, Amber Staples, and Raymond Hartgraves and their great grandchildren Natalie, Hannah, Ayla, Etta, Julia, Ethan and Wyatt and his niece Julie Jazlin. After retiring as a facility manager in the Bay Area, they moved to Yuba City and Roger fulfilled a lifelong dream of being a farmer and grew persimmons. Roger enjoyed auto racing and one of his hobbies was the restoration and racing of antique cars. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco Giants baseball team and the San Francisco 49er football team. He loved music and dancing especiallyat the Tim & Sheila's restaurant of which he was their biggest promoter. Roger and Doris travelled all over in their motorhome either going to races, concerts, beaches, meeting up with family and friends,or simply just hitting the open road. Roger was always on the movedoing things around the house, yard, garage and orchard, working on cars, or helping friends and neighbors. He was a fun loving, good natured man who will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held onJune 30, 2018,at Tim and Sheila's restaurant thePowell's Steamer Company & Pub, 425 Main Street, Placerville, CA 95667 from11 am - 1 pm. The family wishes to thank the staff at Courtyard Terrace for their attentive care and compassion in caring for Roger in his final days.
