Rick Lee Musselman

August 31, 1974 — September 26, 2021

Rick L. Musselman, Sr was tragically taken from his family by a drunk driver on Sunday, September 26, 2021. The actions and pain caused by this selfish person is unforgivable. Rick is loved deeply. The love shared with him is irreplaceable. The family can't imagine life without our beloved Ricky. He was our rock, our strength, and our life. Rick loved life, always living it to the fullest and affecting those around him with his infectious laughter and sparkling eyes. Rick's heart & energy was warm which radiated. Rick is a gem. He was a hard worker, an excellent diesel mechanic, an awesome fisherman, loved to cook, grew up skiing and loved being in the wilderness around the rivers, especially the Carson River. He enjoyed riding his Harley, especially group rides with his wife, kids and buddies from work. He loved his family: his wife Dawn; his kids Rj, Mariah, Sy & Brett; his mother Vicki; his sister Marissa, his nieces Mykayla & Larissa; his grandparents Jerry & Shirley; his Uncle Randy, cousins Brian, Nic, Krystal; his Uncle Brett; his Uncle John & his family; his Aunt Michele, cousin Chris; Uncle Artie, cousins Hunter & Forrest. Rick was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Musselman, his grandparents Ed & Pat Musselman, his Uncle Lou, and Aunt Diane...all of whom I am sure greeted Rick when he transitioned to his new journey. Rick's heart is full of love & will always be held close by his family. Life will never be the same without those smiling eyes, his humor, his warmth and his energy. As I struggle thru the agony of the loss of my husband, I came across this as a sign from Rick. This wasn't for me to keep but to share. He would want us all to live life and carry him with us thru our adventures like he is carrying us with him thru his new adventures. Please don't be sad, for I am not gone, the wind in the trees will play you my song. The coyotes and wolves, they sing you my tune, my spirit shines the safe light of the moon. My soul's in the rain that fixes the dry, my music is in the song of a redtail's cry. Look for me, I am there, I'm all around you, I'm everywhere. I am not gone, I am not past, grieve no more, make this tear your last. Remember the laughter, the fun that we had, remember the good, forget all the sad. Please dry your eyes, please do not cry, for this my dear, is but a short farewell. Rick...my love will always be...'til we fly together again!
