Richard Alan Klyne

Richard Klyne, 40, of Sacramento, died suddenly on Tuesday Oct 6, 2015 at 12:30 pm, ending his decades long struggle with alcohol. Rich was born in Akron, Ohio on April 15, 1975, the son of Robert and Linda Woodyard Klyne. Rich moved to the Sacramento area in 1982 and had resided here ever since. Active in church groups as a youth, he attended Chico State University where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. Rich enjoyed amateur radio, fishing and camping. He especially loved spending weekends in Desolation Wilderness where he was able to be thoroughly at peace. His family has many fond memories of the fun times spent around the huge campfires Rich would build. In his business life Rich was acknowledged as a software developer extraordinaire, repeatedly solving problems with his out of the box thinking. Never married, he was proceeded in death by his fiance Lisa Isbell in 2013. Rich is survived by his parents, sisters Jennifer Fenton of Folsom, and his twin, Megan Klyne of Citrus Heights, along with nieces Lindsey and Abby Fenton, and nephews Justin Fenton and Zachary Klyne. The family requests any material remembrances be made to the Sacramento Veterans Resource Center, (SVRC), www.vietvets.org. Services will be held Friday, Oct 16th at 2:30 pm, Sierra View Funeral Chapel, 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd., Carmichael, CA. After the service a Celebration of Life BBQ will be held, map will be available at the service.
