Rena Ursaline Armstrong

September 27, 1940 — October 7, 2016

Rena Ursaline Armstrong age 76 of Sacramento passed from this world after a long painful battle with cancer on Friday October 7, 2016 in Fair Oaks CA.She was born September 27, 1940 in Sacramento to Robert Charles Ehrig and Norma Ursaline Smith. She is predeceased by both parents, Step Father Norman Wrenn, and her brother Robert (Bobby) Ehrig. She is survived by her sister Marilyn Peterson (Monte) of Wikesboro, NC, brother Gary Ehrig (Nancy) of lancaster NH, sisters Lynn Menard (Andy) of Orangevale, CA, Joan Freeman, Marsha Smith and Roxanne Somatis (Dan) all of Sacramento. 15 Nieces and nephews all of whom she loved very much, also her special friends Bryan Freeman and Pam Shales. Rena retired from Sacramento County Dept. of Education where she worked several years and her favorite project was he Academic Decathlon a program which she was very proud of. Prior to that she worked for a Poetry publishing company and the State of California. To quote some family and friends "Live Love Laugh was her motto, Rena loved people especially her family, she was full of life, laughter, fun and positivity. She found happiness in whatever life threw at her, she was everyone's Aunt Rena. Her laugh and smile are contagious." Rena was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed! At her request, she was cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Sierra View Funeral Chapel.
