Philip John Derdowski

December 17, 1967 — September 24, 2016

Philip John Derdowski, age 48, died unexpectedly of a stroke on September 24, 2016. He died peacefully surrounded by family and friends. Phil was born on December 17, 1967, the youngest of 7 children. Working from a young age at his family's mobile home business, Phil sharpened his innate ability to fix anything. He started his own mobile home repair business, and roles flipped when his dad became his part-time assistant. Throughout his life, Phil made friends easily and was always willing to help others. A life-long skier, golfer, and SF Giants fan, Phil loved being outside, especially in Lake Tahoe. His sense of humor, engaging smile, and gigantic heart will be greatly missed. Phil's memory will live on in the hearts of his large extended family and a vast network of caring, loyal friends, especially Pete and Paula Atchison. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Patricia; and his brother, Peter. He will be laid to rest with them at Happy Homestead Cemetery in South Lake Tahoe. A celebration of Phil's life will be held at 11a.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Hillsdale Mobile Home Park clubhouse, 6300 Roseville Road, Sacramento, CA 95842. Donations in Phil's name may be made to No-Al Club, 5809 Gibbons Drive, Carmichael, CA 95608, where he found his way to sobriety, dear friendships and a fulfilling life. Friends and family are welcome to attend a second celebration for Phil at 5 p.m. on Oct. 8th at 5809 Gibbons, Carmichael, CA 95608. THE FAMILY REQUESTS NO FLOWERS, PLEASE! THANK YOU. Celebration of Life OCT 8. 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Hillsdale Mobile Home Park Clubhouse 6300 Roseville Road Sacramento, CA, US, 95842
