Peter Joseph Cooper

Peter Joseph Cooper passed away peacefully on June 17, 2023 at age of 61 at Sutter Roseville Medical Center with his wife, Yan, and loved ones at his side.  Pete was born on September 15, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee.  He graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in Memphis, Tennessee in 1979 where he excelled in cross country and track. He worked at Farm Fresh Produce while in high school and then joined FedEx Corporation at Tennessee where he devoted 35 years of his life and received numerous Bravo Zulu awards.  While working with FedEx Corporation, he moved from Tennessee to South Carolina, Colorado, Florida and Hawaii. He met his wife Yan, at Maui at his favorite restaurant Panda Express on Kihei, Maui.  They got married on February 26, 2007, and moved to Sacramento, California.  He retired from FedEx Corporation, Sacramento, California September 2016.  Always kind and generous to others, Pete will forever hold a dear place in the hearts of his loved ones. His family will cherish the beautiful memories they had with him.  A private gathering of family members will be held in honor of Pete.
