Pauline June Landon

Pauline June (Upthegrove) Landon, lovingly known as "Nonnie," passed away peacefully on October 18th, 2023, in Fair Oaks, CA. Born August 19,1926 in Sacramento, CA. to Sherman Glenn and Violet Gertrude Upthegrove. Pauline and Burton Bowler Landon were married in August, 1942, in Carson City, Nevada. Preceeded in death by her parents, husband Burt, and her two sons, David and Paul Landon. Pauline is survived by her daughter and best friend Cherie Hunting (Jay),  Fair Oaks, grandsons Robert Robuck(Rose), Sahuarita, Arizona, Michael Robuck (Julie) Fair Oaks CA., and Jason Landon, Oregon, and her granddaughters Ashley Landon, and Maria Landon, as well as 8 great grandkids, and 7 great great grandkids. An accomplished  ballerina in her youth,  Pauline settled down to raise her children in Fair Oaks, eventually moving to Elk Grove after the kids moved on. She spent her last 13 years living with Cherie and Jay in Fair Oaks. She enjoyed watching old-time movies on TCM and news programs on  MSNBC. She had no trouble voicing her opinion on the politics of the day. Pauline was gracious, thankful, strong, and  sometimes fearless, and she was tenacious, especially when it came to protecting her children's welfare. She will be missed by many. At her request, a private cremation will be held.
