Obituary of Paul “Dino” Dean Allen In Loving Memory of Paul “Dino” Dean Allen August 27, 1939 – August 14, 2022 Paul “Dino” Dean Allen passed away at home in Roseville, California on August 14, 2022 at the age of 82 after a long battle with vascular dementia. Paul was born in Flint, Michigan on August 27, 1939 and graduated from Flint Technical High School. He is survived by his former wife Jennie Dean Allen, his daughter Monica Allen Messina (Tom), his son Dean Allen (Samara), his grandchildren Guinness Allen Messina, Remy Allen Messina, and Mila Allen, his sister-in-law Mary Mayo, and his niece and nephews Lucy Busby (Ron), Fred Mayo, Jr. (Joan), and Jerry Mayo (Rowena). Paul blessed his family and friends with his affection, commitment, encouragement, generosity, hard work, humor, and love. His spirit was cheerful, friendly, sweet, and soulful. Paul was a proud Korean War combat veteran and an expert cartographer, draftsman, inventor, and builder. He greatly enjoyed caring for animals, cooking delicious meals, eating ice cream, growing vegetables in his garden, listening to jazz music, pitching baseball, sharing stories about growing up on his grandma’s farm, restoring and driving fast cars, talking about education, history, and philosophy, and taking leisurely walks around the neighborhood. Paul’s family and friends love and miss him very much.
