Patricia Ellen Skalisky

It is with great sadness that her family remembers, Patricia E. Skalisky, 82, who passed away on February 11th, 2023.  She passed peacefully, with family by her side as she went to be with her Lord and Heavenly Father in everlasting life.

Patricia was born on January 27, 1941, in Rochester, NY, moving to California in 1950.  She was a graduate of Folsom High School in 1959.  Patricia worked her first job at Aerojet followed by working at Sutter Memorial Hospital.  She worked her last job with the California State Department of Aging and retired at the age of 65.

Patricia enjoyed writing, painting, gardening, watching birds - especially hummingbirds.  Her love of movies and music kept her grounded listening and singing to her favorite artists/songs. She loved everything Wizard of Oz!  She enjoyed visiting with friends at the neighborhood get together called The Maple Room, especially on St. Patty’s Day, her most favorite holiday.

Predeceased by her father and mother, Gerard and Bernice Hodges.  Patricia is survived by her children, son Michael Skalisky and wife Jane, daughter Theresa Waller, and son Bruce Skalisky.  Her brother Robert “Skip” and wife Beverly and sister Suzanne Hodges.  She has six grandchildren Kelli, Patricia, Jeremiah, Matthew, Heather, and Shane and six great-grandchildren Xaiden, Emma, Zakary, Victoria, Connor, and Isabel. She has two nieces Elizabeth and Samantha and one nephew Darren.

Casual celebration of life for her will be held at "The Maple Room" 2740 Arden Way, Sacto, CA 95825 from 11-1 Saturday 22 April 2023.  Come out and share a story or a toast!
