Noelene Kealaokahinano Low

September 2, 1945 — April 27, 2024

Noelene Kealokahinano Stanton Low, age 78, of Sacramento, California, passed away on Saturday, April 27th, 2024.

Noelene was born in Honolulu, Hawai’i on September 2, 1945 to Martha Bolster Stanton and Arthur Stanton. She peacefully passed on to her next adventure on April 27, 2024.

Growing up in Waimanalo, Noe spent her time with family, friends, and the constant flow of pets at home. She never met an animal she didn’t love or want to keep for her own.

Best known as “Shorty” in her youth, she was a pint-sized rebel through out her life. While tiny in stature, she was NOT in personality. She had a strong disdain for authority, and often challenged societal norms and traditions.

A wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and an “Aunty” to many, Noe was vocal in her support for those in need, and never backed down from a fight. In the last part of her life, she became a strong leader and advocate as president of her senior community.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Low, and her son, Victor “Button” Otero. She is survived by her children, Taina Burke and son-in-Law William, Stanton Otero, Johna Low and partner Moana Kaua, Ian Low and daughter-in-law Jena, and her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date in Hawai’i. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your local animal shelter.
