Muriel Dawn Mendel, ""Dawn"", went home to the Lord early Tuesday morning, December 1st after a long battle with cancer. She was 84 years old. Dawn was born in Fallon, Nevada on May 27, 1931. She married her husband of 64 years, Nick Mendel and lived in Carmichael, California. Dawn worked at I.H. Kent Company and The Agricultural Stabilization Control in Fallon Nevada before moving to California and becoming a stay at home mom. Dawn enjoyed bowling and was the secretary for the Tuesday Women's Bowling League at Mardi Gras for 25 years. She also enjoyed playing cards, sewing, embroidering and more than anything being with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Geraldine Marsh. She is survived by her husband Nick, her daughters Niki Christian (husband Charlie), Loni Plank, Tami Prince, (husband Nathan), and her grandchildren, Jonathan Gennaro, (wife Kayli), Dylan Plank (wife Hanna), Brianna Stapish, Shannon Alexander (husband Jordon), Wyatt Prince and Jessie Prince, and by her sister Diane ""Bonnie"" Larsen and nieces Terry (husband Stephen) and Sandy. Dawn enjoyed spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life at the home of her daughter Tami on Saturday, December 12th, beginning at 2pm.
