Born on his mother's birthday on November 22, 1980, Matt Gregory Marroquin passed away on June 14, 2016. Matt is survived by his mother, Gloria Marroquin, sisters Sylvia Escobar, Lydia Escobar-Blanco, Sandra Duenez, Yvette Hammell, and Anna Valles; nieces, nephews and extended family. A self-taught musician and talented guitarist who loved heavy metal music, Matt will always be remembered for his kind heart and excellent teaching to numerous aspiring students and fans from around the world. Matt gave of his time and talents freely, providing instructional videos on his own website and YouTube channel for those who wanted to learn how to play guitar. He was well known online as a talented guitarist, excellent teacher and generous metal head. Taken from this earth far too soon, he was much loved and will be deeply missed by so many. Matt, the world will never be the same without you in it. We are sure you are jamming with your brother Steve up in heaven and teaching all the angels your heavy metal licks. We love and miss you so much. Viewing 9-11am and service 11am-12pm at Sierra View Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Monday June 27th [(916) 481-1515].
