Mark Louis Block

Mark Louis Block was born June 19, 1953 and went home on February 21, 2016. Mark joins his mother Hilda, Joan, Ray, Betty, and a long list of in-laws who greet him on his next journey. Mark and his wife Carol had the type of relationship most people only dream of. They were married for 40 years and had four children. Sonny (Viola - deceased), Reed (Stacie), Wendy (James) and Mark. In addition to his children, Mark also leaves behind his father Bob, 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, one bother, and 2 sisters. Mark loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and had owned and rode one as younger man. He also loved golf, and more recently added skydiving with his younger brother Greg to his list of favorite activities. Mark and Carol nearly always spent their vacation visiting distant loved ones. Mark proudly served in the U.S. Navy where he learned his lifelong trade as a welder. Mark was a hard working man who was a consummate leader, provider, husband, father, brother, son and friend. More than anything else Mark loved his wife Carol and his family and friends with a passion. He always welcomed everyone into his home and into his heart with open arms. Mark will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. A Celebration of Life for Mark will be held on April 23rd at 1:30 at the home of Carol Block. 2545 Clearlake Way, Sacramento CA 95826.
