Marilu Curran April 1, 1934 – February 24, 2019 Sacramento, California Marilu Curran passed away peacefully in her sleep due to natural causes at her home in Sacramento, CA on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at the age of 84. Marilu was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Marilu was born on April 1. 1934, in Lorain, Ohio to Joseph and Mary (Manney) Laven. She was the second of five children. She had three sisters (Joan, Lois, and Cathy) and one younger brother (Jack). Marilu graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Lorain, OH, in 1952. She married her high school sweetheart, Tom, in 1954. Marilu and Tom moved their growing family to Sacramento, CA in 1962. Marilu worked for several Sacramento-area radio stations before joining Tom and his partner Ron, at their advertising agency, Curran, Hitomi & Associates. Marilu and Tom worked together until their retirement in 1998. Marilu was preceded in death by Tom, her husband of 63 years, in 2017. Marilu is survived by her daughters Colleen; Maureen (Marc Turtletaub); Megan; and Erin (Tim Lemons III); and her son, Tim (Jo). Grandchildren Tara (Justin Ingram); Brandon Borja (Jen Boothby); Nicole (Mario Arroyo); Devin Curran (Tracy Fisher); and Timothy Foley. Great grandchildren Taylor and Bobby Ingram. Marilu is also survived by her sisters Lois Steigerwald, KathleenRadich, brother, Jack Laven and many nieces and nephews. A private memorial is planned.
