Marcella D. Loker, 87, passed away on August 31, 2020 at Sutter Health Hospital, Sacramento, CA while visiting sisters, Kathleen Williams Johnson, Ontario, CA; and Koreena C Williams, Carmichael, CA. Marcella, aka “Marcee”, was born March 2, 1933 near Douglas, ND In 1951, Marcee married Duane McClelland and resided in Williston, ND where they had five children. Laurie Warren, Louisburg, KS; Karyl (Steve) Larson, Iowa City, IA; Bruce (Viv) McClelland, Pensacola, FL; Harry (Linda), Lacona, IA; Robin (Robert) Bell, Perry, KS. They divorced in 1971 and Marcee moved to Lawrence, KS where she worked for Wickes Lumber Yard for several years. In 1979 Marcee moved to Sacramento, CA where she met and married Thomas R Loker in December 1987. They lived in Roseville, CA and later moved to Kimberling City, MO where Tom passed away in 1995. Marcee eventually moved back to Lawrence, KS where she resided with grandson, Jesse D Smith until her passing. Marcee was talented in many ways. She loved painting, woodworking, quilting, baking and was a fixer/handy woman at heart. She worked most of her life at various jobs but her love was in the lumberyard. Marcee also loved adventure and travel and visited many countries outside of the United States. Marcee’s last wish and adventure was fulfilled when her daughters, Laurie and Robin, drove her from Lawrence, KS to Sacramento, CA so she could visit her sisters one more time. Marcee passed away with her family surrounding her. She delighted in nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews. Preceded by her in death were her parents Harry G. and Anne Williams, Carmichael, CA; brother, Victor Williams of Cottonwood, AZ; sister, Twila Ashton of Corona, CA; and husband Thomas R Loker, Kimberling City, MO. Her survivors include her sisters Koreena and Kathleen who were named above; sister-in-law Nina Williams, Cottonwood, AZ; her five children, Laurie, Karyl, Bruce, Harry (Hal) and Robin who were named above; plus all of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services will be Sept 26, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of McLouth. 100 Lake St, McLouth, KS, 66054. Memorials can be made to McLouth Baptist Church or to the family. There will be a burial at a later date in Lacona, IA, where she will Rest In Peace.
