Manuel J. Taylor

Manuel Taylor, 73, unexpectedly passed away on September 29, 2024. Born in Riverside, CA and resided in Sacramento. Manuel met the love of his life, Bettylee, when he was 16 years old. He attended Sacramento High School, then married Bettylee in 1969. He served in the United States Army, then worked a variety of jobs in Sacramento, Oregon, and Hawaii doing metal fabrication and driving big rigs. He retired from Colgate-Palmolive as a delivery driver for Hills Science Diet Pet Food. Manuel was a jack of all trades and the go-to mechanic for family and friends. He would help anyone and treated strangers as friends. Manuel spent the last years of his life caring for his cherished wife Bettylee. Rest easy Pop. 

Survived by his wife Bettylee Taylor; Son Anthony Taylor (Karen); Daughter Lisa Robello (Chris); Grandchildren Ruben Arocan Jr, Richard Arocan (Lourdes), Anthony Jr and Joseph Taylor; Great Grandchildren Emily, Emmanuel and Ezekiel Arocan; Sisters Josie Nelson, Antonia Taylor (Lisa Fien), Maria Chin (Thomas), and Guadalupe Reveles; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Proceeded in death by his beloved Mother Ignacia Saldana; Father Manuel Taylor; Brothers-in-law Jerry and Albert Troyer and Joe Passaretti; Sisters-in-law Amy Martinez and Judy Orta; Nieces Christina Perez, Francine Troyer and Diana Carroll; Nephew Felix "Brother" Martinez . 

A Catholic mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1019 11th Street in Sacramento. Reception to follow, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM, at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall, 660 Florin Rd in Sacramento.
