In the 1970’s she opened the Dragon Gift Shop, and later in the 1980’s, helped open the Golden Dragon Restaurant as a partner, both in Old Sacramento. She later followed her passion to heal and returned to China to study Chinese massage therapy, Acupressure, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Came back to America and became a Certified Massage Therapist for over two decades, specializing in acupressure and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She taught Tai Chi classes, held workshops on Chinese herbs and their uses, and wrote many health related articles for several local newsletters. Through her healing work, she helped many clients in the Sacramento, Stockton, and Lodi areas find some relief or a cure to their illnesses where many western doctors could find none. When she was not helping others, she loved to garden, dine out, travel, spend time with family, animals, or the outdoors, make new friends, and meet old ones too. She will be deeply missed. A Buddhist Memorial service will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 21st, at the Sacramento True Buddha Temple, 450 Media Place, Sacramento, CA 95815. No reception will be held.
