Linda Ann Nall-Solger

March 9, 1954 — August 12, 2024

Linda Ann Nall-Solger passed peacefully at home in Sacramento, CA, on the morning of August 12th, 2024, following a brief battle with B-cell lymphoma - she was 70. Linda was a fiercely loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was born and raised in Kentucky and moved to California where she met her best friend and the love of her life. She and her husband made a home in Sacramento where they raised two daughters with consistency, love, and support. Linda enjoyed quiet days putzing around the house with her family and well-planned adventures to car shows near and far. She was able to enjoy her grandson for the first two years of his life, she passed before the birth of her granddaughter but loved getting updates on her daughter's pregnancy.

She joined the U.S. Navy in 1973 and served four years as a Radar Operator.  She spent a decade working as a Teacher's Aide at Cowan Elementary and El Camino High School where she cared deeply about "her kids.”

Practical to her core, Linda never met a problem she couldn't solve or a treasure she couldn't hunt as long as it could be found at one of the many fantastic thrift stores in the area. She nurtured an impressive variety of succulents throughout her life and was never shy about sharing her plant bounty.

Linda carried on her mother's ancestry work, filling in the family trees of countless people with her thorough research. One of her favorite hobbies was "playing with dead people" or tracking down information through photos and public records to stitch together the quilts of her close and distant relations.

She is survived by her husband Larry Solger, daughters Lizzie Solger and Cat Kruse, grandson Silas Kruse, newborn granddaughter, Georgia Kruse and sister Jo Nall.

Linda will join her parents: Betty Jo Bell and Leon Lovell Nall and generations of family in the Bell cemetery in Kentucky where she will chastise all of her ancestors for not properly labeling photos.
