Leslie Dawn Murphy

Leslie Dawn Murphy, Age 59, passed away on May 12, 2021, after battling dementia for many years.She was born on Oct, 20.1961 in Ft Belvoir, Va.,one of 4 daughters born to George and Shirley Murphy.Leslie was an avid animal lover and would help any in need. She was extremely compassionate and generous to those she loved. Leslie loved softball, was very competitive, athletic, and played for Cordova High and Consumnes River College. She was a member of the 1983 ASA Women’s National Champion team “Somerset”.She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking and kayaking and her favorite place to visit was the ocean, Bodega Bay in particular. She worked for the federal government for 33 years and retired from the Office of Inspector General in March, 2018.She was preceded in death by her father, George Murphy. She is survived by her mother, Shirley Murphy, and sisters, Valerie Johnson ( Kevin), Patricia Storey (Thomas) and Tamara Cole(Lance), and nephews Trip, Jeremy, Tyler, and nieces Katie, Kristin and Jessica.
