Lee Paxton, 85
Resident of Carmichael, California Passed away in January 2025 In the home where he lived since 1971.
Lee was born in February 1939 in Sacramento, California to Glenn and Frances Paxton. Lee was the second child and is survived by his older brother, Jack and his wife Sharon.
Lee attended El Camino High School where he made life long friends and participated in many class reunions. He also attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where he was President of the Senior Class. Lee maintained friendships with many people who also were Cal Poly graduates throughout his life.
Lee graduated from Cal Poly with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked in this field until his retirement. He was very creative and authored or collaborated in many inventions for which he held more than 10 patents. He also enjoyed outdoor activities including snow and water skiing. He was passionate about learning from history, specifically the technological advances achieved during WWII.
Lee is survived by his wife Bonnie, whom he married in1968. He is also survived by his older daughter Laura, her husband Tyler and their two children, Lucas and Cora. His younger daughter Shannon and her husband Nicholas. He was uncle to Paul Paxton and Anne Smith and great uncle to her children Gabriel and Sarah.
Lee and his family wish to express their appreciation for the kind and loving attention and care given by his in-home care givers and hospice workers which were of great help to him and his family members.
A Memorial service and Celebration of Life will be scheduled and announced at a later date.
