Laura Caprani Shuck

September 8, 1949 — February 2, 2024

Our dear sister and grandma, Laura Caprani Shuck, passed peacefully on February 2, 2024 in Roseville, California.  She was the daughter of Boyd and Ruth Dulaney. Laura was originally from Walnut Creek, but has been so many places in her life. She had recently moved from North Carolina to Roseville to be close to her three grandchildren, Jordan, Lillie and, Liam.  Laura spent the last year going to her grandkids extracurricular activities.  Laura loved to watch Lillie dance and love to watch Jordan play baseball and Liam play basketball. Laura was an avid reader and was able to share that with Lillie and Jordan for the most of their upbringing.  She valued her time with her grandkids and shared a special relationship with all three of them.  Laura spoke of her friends from childhood often. She enjoyed still talking to her friends on the phone. Travel was also a huge part of Laura‘s life as she loved to go to places all over the country. Sometimes she traveled with her sister, but she was brave enough to do so many trips all on her own. Laura was very independent and would spontaneously move to different places, so we are very happy that the last year and a half she was with family that could care for her.  Laura leaves behind her two sisters, Connie and Susan, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, a son, her cousins, her friends, her three grandkids, Jordan, Lillie & Liam, and Richi and Alan.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

We love you Grandma Laura.  Thank you for everything. We helped each other a lot, didn’t we?  Till we meet again.  Love, Richi (your “daughter in law” and “best friend”) we will miss you
