Kathleen Ruby Davis (Ruby)
7/18/1930 - 4/11/2024

Born to Miles and Kathleen Wood, along with siblings Marian and Stuart. She married Del Ray Davis and had three children - Allan, Karen, and Kathleen.

Ruby is survived by her brother Stuart, her daughters Karen Burke and Kathleen Shafer, her daughter-in-law Deborah Davis, and her beloved collection of grandchildren: Philip Davis, Kristin Bateman, and great grandchildren: Kaylee, Michael, Noah, Nicholas, and Jaxon.
She is also survived by her nieces: Janet Dupzyk, Joanne Pace, Betsy Wood-Norris, and her great nieces and nephews: Matt Wickey, Amy Woodhull, Tom Wood, and Emily Shaw

She was preceded in death by her sister Marion Dupzyk, her husband George Knaggs, her nephew Tom Wood, and her son Allan Davis.

Ruby took great delight in many things:
— she loved being with her family, and especially loved hearing about and seeing the grandchildren
— she was an avid gardener and had a green thumb that she did not pass on to her youngest daughter
— she enjoyed doing various arts and crafts, did beautiful crocheting, and was always willing to try a new project or learn a new skill
— she was a big fan of Taco Bell and passed up many a fancy birthday lunch for a burrito supreme
— once she retired she enjoyed volunteering with Shriner’s hospital and with Methodist hospital for several years and was very proud of her work there
— she enjoyed much reading, card games, gossiping, and dancing over the years
— she was a HUGE fan of shopping, Macy’s stock has likely dropped since we lost her

We will be holding a graveside Celebration of Life service at Oddfellows Lawn Cemetery, 2720 Riverside Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95818. Date to be determined.
