John Douglas Foreman March 8, 1959 – September 30, 2017 “One must truly be true to themselves, to find their inner strength of their heart and soul. For in the end, the characteristic one portrays needs to be the same as that which they hold inside their heart.” “Johnny” passed away quietly in his sleep in the morning hours of September 30th, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, J.D. Foreman, his nephew Jeremy Foreman, as well as his true soul mate and wife Lynda Foreman. He is survived by his mother, Anna Pauline Joy, his older brother James (wife Rose) Foreman, older sisters Joy (husband Steve) Hennessy, Jill Behler, and youngest sister Jodie Foreman, along with many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. John was also a father figure to Christina Owens and Grandfather to her children. John was a man of virtue and courage, a truly good spirit. His courage was seen through his tough battle with cancer along with other health obstacles, and he never allowed his struggles to control his actions towards others. His keen sense of humor, kindness and love will be missed dearly by his cherished family and friends. He was born on March 8, 1959 in Roseville, California.He spent his childhood in Fair Oaks then the majority of his adult life in the Sacramento area. A graduate of Del Campo High School, he then attended Napa Junior College and continued his education in the fields of drafting, telecommunications, electronics and HVAC Systems. John worked as a Maintenance and Grounds Supervisor at a large apartment complex for over 20 years until his retirement. While living his daily routine, John never lost sight of his dreams and tried other ventures. Construction Site Clean-up Service, Marina Handyman were two of his endeavors. One of his most creative enterprises was “Chimney Cricket” Chimney and Gutter Cleaner. The family will host a “Celebration of Life” to honor and remember him on November 5th. Family and friends are welcome to join our remembrance of our beloved brother and son at the American Legion, 6700 8th Street, Rio Linda, CA between the hours of 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
