Joel David Pate

Joel David (Dave) Pate was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on July 21, 1942 to Milton and Janie Sue Pate. Dave was the second of 4 children and he is survived by two brothers Dan and Sam, and his sister Sandy. 

He dedicated his life in baptism to Jehovah in 1951 at the age of 9 and served his God faithfully for 74 years. He has enjoyed a number of privileges in his ministry, but working in the sound department at the circuit assemblies and regional conventions brought him special joy. 

Dave married Sheri on June 2nd 1962 and they had a beautiful marriage of 62 years. Dave and Sheri were blessed with one daughter and later two granddaughters whom Dave lovingly referred to as his “Grand Girls”. 

Dave was a skilled HVAC technician. His trustworthy reputation as a business owner set him apart from the crowd and even after his retirement, clients would frequently call Dave asking for advice with their heating and air concerns. 

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Dave passed peacefully in his home on January 22, 2025 surrounded by family and friends.
