Beloved wife, Mother grand and great grandmother, passed away peacefully with husband Willem, daughters Monique, Debbie, and Judy by her side on Wednesday, December 16-2020 at the age of 85 at home in Rocklin, CA. Jane was born on August 23, 1935 in Batavia, West Java (Former Dutch East Indies) now Indonesia. Mom & Dad met at a very early age in a concentration camp in Malang. After WW2 in 1947 Mom moved to The Netherlands and in 1950 Dad came to the Netherlands and happened to arrived in the same City Utrecht. They met again in High school. Mom lived longer in Holland at first working for a Law Firm and later for Royal Shell in Amsterdam and Dad sailed all around the world while in the Dutch Navy and stationed in New Guinea. Jane and Willem got married on October 28-1958 in Utrecht, The Netherlands. They came to the United States, Glen Ridge, New Jersey in 1959. A very Proud Mother of three daughters Monique, Debbie, and Judy. They were married for 62 years. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: like hanging out with her family which includes 6 grand children: Jennifer, Jacquelyn, Bobby, Joey, Elliot, and Ian, and 2 great grandchildren Isabella and Willem. Mom was fun, generous and compassionate. And she was an excellent cook who embraced her Dutch-Indonesian heritage and made the best Indonesian food on the planet! She loved all the family trips to Lake Tahoe and Lake Shasta, BBQ’S and Sushi nights. Some of her favorite places to visit were the beaches in Monterey, Half Moon Bay, Fort Bragg just to name a few. She also loved spending time with her dogs especially her latest Miss Daisy. She loved rescuing animals. She also enjoyed gardening and had quite a green thumb. No one could make plants look more beautiful than her. Her Dutch sense of humor and infectious laughter would light up any room and she was always ready for a strong cup of coffee! Whatever needs we had; Mom fulfilled them. Surely such a Mother could never drift far from those she loved with all her heart. Though she left her earthly body behind, we will always feel her presence and she will live in our hearts forever!! We will miss her dearly!! John 16:22- So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that Joy.
