James M. Shannon, affectionately known as Jim, passed away on January 12, 2025, in California, the place of both his birth and his final days. Born on November 12, 1946, Jim lived a life that was rich in love, kindness, and dedication to his family and friends.

For 41 wonderful years, Jim shared his life with his beloved wife, Janice. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with laughter and warmth, raising three remarkable children: sons Jim and Rick, and their cherished daughter, Jamie. Jim took immense pride in his role as a father, providing unwavering support and guidance to his children as they grew and navigated life's challenges.

As a grandfather, he found boundless joy in the company of his grandchildren, RW, Marin, Riley, and Ethan. The bond he shared with them was characterized by stories, laughter, and invaluable life lessons that he imparted with patience and love.

Jim will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of compassion and devotion will endure through the hearts of his family and friends. As they gather to remember him, they will carry forward the values he instilled and the love he generously shared throughout his life.
