James Seubert

James Seubert left his body on Friday, December 8, 2023. Jim was a caring
man who loved and supported his family and friends. A proud supporter of
law enforcement, the Sacramento SPCA and Haven Dog Rescue, and
charities supporting underprivileged children, he was always trying to find
ways to help anyone he saw in need. Jim started his adult life in the Navy
where he proudly served the United States as a jet mechanic and later
served his community as an officer of the Fruita Police Department. A jack
of all trades and lover of woodworking, he found his calling as a carpenter
and craftsman for the bulk of his career. Jim was a regular, friendly face as
he walked his dog every day and his neighborhood will be a little quieter
without him. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers
and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughter, Tammy, and her
partner, Bryan, and son, Trevor; his son, John, and his wife, Shondra,
daughter, Shandee, and son, Billy; and a far-reaching network of extended
family and friends. Jim’s kindness and love will be sorely missed by all.
Jim will be laid to rest at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California, on December
29. The 30 minute service will begin at 10:30 a.m. The family will coordinate a celebration of Jim’s
life to be announced in the coming months.
