Jacqueline Elizabeth Tierney

October 3, 1928 — November 6, 2020

Jacqueline (Jackie) Tierney was born in Wasco California in 1928 and passed Friday, October 6 th , 2020 in Davis. She moved to Oakland, California where she met her future husband, Robert in middle school. They married at the end of World War II moving to Fremont California where Bob taught high school and she became a librarian in the public- school system. Upon retiring, they moved to Trinity County, where they had honeymooned, to become part of the community of Douglas City. Always willing to give back, Jackie did volunteer work and fundraising for the Fire Belles and their neighborhood of Poker Bar. She is survived by her three children, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. As an environmentalist, in lieu of flowers well-wishers are encouraged to donate to The Nature Conservancy (https://www.nature.org/en-us/) and the Douglas City Fire Belles. (P.O. Box 44, Douglas City, Ca. 96024) Jackie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
