Harry de Yonge, 81 of Carmichael, CA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10th 2019. Born to Harry & Eva de Yonge on December 16th 1937 in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister- in- law, Sonjia de Yonge and brother- in law- Leonard Williams. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Leda, daughters Valarie de Yonge and Dana Engel. Grandson Ryan Engel, granddaughter Erica Parrott, Grandson- in- law Cory Parrott, great granddaughters Cora and Ella Parrott, brother Jack (John)de Yonge, brother- in- law Donald Williams, sisters- in- law Laura and Sandi Williams, and numerous beloved nephews and nieces. After graduating high school in 1956 Harry enlisted in the USAF while attending Monterey Peninsula College. His military service included 2 years in the US Naval Reserves, 4 years in the USAF, 4 years USAF Reserves, and 1 year in the California National Guard. Harry and his wife, Leda, traveled extensively throughout the US, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and Europe. Family and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Sierra View Funeral Chapel. 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd Carmichael CA on Friday, October 11th 2019 at 1:00PM. At a later date he will be interred at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon CA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sacramento SPCA or any charity of your choice.
