Gregory Amos Stephenson

Gregory Stephenson, 51, of El Dorado, CA passed away June 21, 2016. A celebration of Greg's life was held on Saturday, June 25th at Cold Springs Church where he was surrounded by his family and friends. Greg was born in Aurora, CO on March 21, 1965. He graduated from Bennett High School in 1983. Greg was married to his high school sweetheart, Miriam, on February 8, 1988. They were married for 28 years. Greg was a master builder and craftsman for HearthCo, Inc. alongside his best friend Dan Zacher, who truly was his brother for the past 36 years. Greg was actively involved, along with Alex and Ryan, in Civil Air Patrol (C.A.P.) and was recently promoted to 2nd Lieutenant. Greg was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He loved spending time camping and fishing at Camanche Reservoir. Greg was survived by his wife, Miriam (Guthals), daughter Alexandra, son Ryan, his mother Dolores Stephenson, sister Kathryn and husband Bill Henry, cousin Milly and husband Curtis Smelker, brother Dan Zacher and father-in-law Carl Guthals. Greg is preceded in death by his dad Andrew Stephenson.
