Gloria Marie Reeves, age 67, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 1:06 a.m. She was at home with her two daughters, Michelle and Heather. Gloria was born in Grayling, Michigan on May 12,1950, to Christian parents. She was one of seven children; a sister:Cindy, and five brothers:Danny, Lloyd, Ronnie, Ricky and Tommy. Gloria lost her whole family in a car accident at age 11 and was raised in a girl's orphanage until she reached the age of 17 and a half. She then married a man and had two daughters by the age of 21. She was divorced and raised both girls by herself. A hard-working woman loving, kind, honest, and she was loved by all who got the privilege to know her. In March 2010 after waking from a coma due to excessive drinking which led to a fall where she hit her head causing her brain to bleed; she went into a treatment program. That began her new life in Alcoholics Anonymous, where Gloria learned not only how to not drink, but how to also live! It is in AA that she finally met her God and regained her long-lost faith in him. And for the next seven years she and her daughters became the family few get to have. Built on love, respect and forgiveness. Gloria is preceded by her two daughters; Michelle Reeves and Heather Wilson, three grandchildren; Sean Fortney, Jessica Burgess and Wyatt Taylor, and two great-grandchildren; Evan Dorcich and Raley Fortney.
