George F. Grady, loving husband of Teresa and father of Rory and Leah, passed away on April 2, 2021. He was born on May 18, 1956 in Sacramento, California, graduated from Luther Burbank High School and completed some college. In 2003 he married Teresa Worthington, and they made their home in the Sacramento area. Throughout his life, George pursued many passions and professions, most recently private investigations. George lived his life with “the pedal to the metal.” In his youth he was a sponsored professional motocross rider and rock musician. As life progressed, he managed various enterprises including speculative building, farming, bounty hunter, bail agent, then PI and formed Grady Investigations. He also partnered to create Sacramento’s first 24 hour streaming internet radio station. George was a sociable person. He was a great listener and a great conversationalist. He made friends easily wherever he went. He enjoyed visiting with friends at his favorite local establishments. He was strong minded yet fair, and always spoke his true feelings. He was compassionate, he would defend those in need. He loved music and art, enjoyed motorcycling, snowmobiling, boxing, camping at the coast, horseback riding, and throwing backyard and block parties. He was great at gardening. He loved the outdoors, especially the California coast and American River. In recent years, he could often be seen on the riverbank near the Fair Oaks Bridge with his dog Bear. He also learned excellent cooking and grilling skills, made the best soups, and frequently shared them with his friends. George had a clever sense of humor and added fun to ordinary days. He will be missed by many. George is survived by his wife, Teresa, son Rory Grady, daughter Leah Nakata (husband Jeff), and grandsons James and Joseph. He is also survived by his mother Rita Grady, sister Catherine Grady Sterk (husband Raymond), brother Matthew Grady (wife Angela), brother Sean Grady, brother Daniel Grady (wife Anita), several nieces and a nephew.
