George Castillo

George Castillo passed away at age 71, born June 25, 1948.George was full of life and always willing to help family and friends.He began playing the guitar at age 7.He formed his first band at the age of 17, St. George and the Dragons.They played all over Sacramento and California.And won the hearts of young and old.They won first place at the Teenage Fair at the old State Fair on Broadway in Sacramento.They also produced a record with their very popular songs "Trust Me" and "Donna Alone".A few years later he formed the band Makiah and then Sweet Lemon.He was a security guard while still playing and writing music. George loved collecting guitars and trains.He loved his son and his family.He is preceded in death by his father Gilbert Cruz Castillo (Elizabeth) and his sister Julie Castillo Peck (Dennis), his son Jesse J. Castillo, his mother Elizabeth Castillo, brothers Gilbert Cruz Castillo (Nancy) and Gary Cruz Castillo (Sandee), and sister Rebecca Liz Castillo (Dan) and many family and friends.He will be deeply missed.Private services were held.
