Evelyn Ann Lee

August 3, 1952 — April 17, 2018

Evelyn Ann Lee, age 65 of Rocklin, California, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 17, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her devoted husband of 30 years, Raymond was by her side until she took her last breath. Evelyn was born in San Francisco, California on August 3, 1952 to parents, Lula Mae and John B. Dixon. She graduated from Polytechnic High School and worked at San Francisco General Hospital in the data entry department before later becoming a certified nurse’s aide. She also studied computerized accounting at Heald College. Evelyn met Raymond On October 18, 1982 at the home of a mutual friend. They didn’t realize it immediately, but the seeds of romance were planted that very same day. Five years later, on August 9, 1987, while in Reno, Nevada, they took their marriage vows. Evelyn and Raymond complemented each other in many ways. Evelyn had a unique flair for decorating and loved arts and crafts, while Raymond had an eye for detail, balance and order. She was the yin to his yang. She loved Cantonese roast duck, especially savoring the skin while Raymond devoured the meat. He also enjoyed making gumbo for Evelyn from her mother’s recipe; one of her favorite dishes. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and twin brothers and is survived by her husband Raymond, son Miguel and daughter-in-law Mina, her siblings Wrenetta, John, Harril, Paul, Cathy, Gloria and Stanley, her mother-in-law Chang Jok Lee, brothers-in-law Sai, John, Howard, sisters-in-law Ginny, Meryl, Silvia, Patricia and Teresa and numerous nephews and nieces. The family wishes to thank the staff of Kaiser Hospice for their attentive care and compassionate guidance in assisting Raymond in caring for Evelyn in her final days.
