Eva Mae Nordine

July 30, 1934 — July 10, 2015

Eva Nordine was born to Grant and Helen (Wittkop) Nordine on July 30, 1934. Eva attended Arden Elementary and Grant High School; graduating in 1952. After graduation Eva moved to Santa Monica and then to San Diego where she was an eligibility worker for San Diego County for many years. Eva returned to the Sacramento area and worked for the California Department of Social Services. After retiring from this position, Eva was able to spend time doing crafts, sewing and travelling with her family. Eva was active with the St. Vincent De Paul Society and St John the Evangelist Church. Eva was preceded in death by her sister Betty Wiley (Bert) and is survived by her sister Nancy Cameron, her aunt Frances Ries, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation on Thursday, July 16, between 4pm and 8pm with a rosary at 7pm. Funeral mass will be at St Mary's Cemetery chapel on Friday, July 17, at 11am. Eva requests live plants decorated with butterflies in lieu of flowers, or a donation in her honor to your favorite charity.
