Eugene Stillman Goff

GOFF, EUGENE STILLMAN SR. MSGT Eugene S. Goff. Retired USAF. Passed away peacefully November 16, 2019 in Carmichael, CA at the age of 89 years old with his loving wife by his side. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Hattie Goff, brothers Lloyd and Floyd Goff, andson-in-law Paul Romero. Eugene leaves behind his wife Rita, and his 9 children. Sons: Jesse (Linda), Eugene (Debbie), Lloyd (Lena), Michael (Pam), Robert (Katrina), Clifford (Natalie). Daughters: Maria Eslinger, Hattie Perez (Roberto), Louise Romero. Eugene also had (23) grandchildren, (30) great grandchildren, and (3) great-great grandchildren. Eugene proudly served 27 years in the USAF. His first assignment was at Offutt, AFB in Nebraska as a Military Police Officer. He spent most of his career as an Electronic Maintenance Technician with the 1155 Technical Operations Squadron at McClellan AFB in CA. With Eugene’s vast knowledge of electronics, he was promoted to Quality Control Inspector Supervisor. His duties were to keep Surveillance Equipment updated and compatible with newer equipment as it became available. His last assignment was with the 9th AMF Squadron at Beale AFB in CA where he specialized inAvionic and Electro Optical Sensors. During this assignment he was the Senior NCO of the squadron that over saw the installation and removal of these cameras into the Strategic Reconnaissance Aircraft know as theSR-71 (Blackbird). Eugene will be remembered by those who knew him as a good and loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed gardening, camping, casino trips and working on his model trains. He will be sorely missed my all. Services will be held at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Friday, December 13, 2019 @ 11:00 am
