  • Eugene (Geno) Wayne Cervantes passed away October 14, 2024 with his family by his side. 
  • Geno had been battling a disease that ultimately took his life at the age of 58.

  • Geno was born in Colusa, CA on July 24, 1966 to Jesse and Mary Cervantes. He was the
  • youngest of seven siblings. Growing up he enjoyed spending time with his family and many
  • friends. He loved to hunt and ride bulls.

  • He began working for Caltrans in 1990 and worked there for over 30 years. During his time at
  • Caltrans he held many different titles, including Equipment Operator and Maintenance Yard
  • Supervisor. In 2017, he moved to Sacramento where he began working as the Statewide
  • Equipment Manager, a title he proudly wore to finish out his career.

  • Geno loved to hunt with his boys, Lane, Ross and Kyle. He loved his Dallas Cowboys, and
  • anyone who beat the 49ers on Sundays. He loved to watch NASCAR, and old westerns. He
  • loved his family very much, and any friend that he met became family to him.

  • Geno is survived by his wife, Colleen and their daughter Vivian, as well as sons Lane, Ross and
  • Kyle (Danielle). He is also survived by his brothers, Raymond, Bobby (Debbe), and Tony
  • (Terrie). Sisters, Tina and Phyllis (Doug). He also is survived by many cousins, nieces and
  • nephews. He is proceeded into death by his dad Jesse, mom Mary, brother Greg “Cervo”, and

  • sister-in-law Sylvia.
  • Geno chose to be cremated, and his ashes will be scattered among some of his favorite places.
  • A celebration of life will be held on November 23rd at the Woodland Elks Lodge at 12pm.
