Dennis Clenndennen, 69, of Santa Maria and Sacramento, California passed away September 30, 2016. Dennis was born in Madera, Ca on June 11, 1947. He attended Emerson Elementary in Chowchilla, Ca and moved to Bakersfield, Ca with his family at age 9 and then to Santa Maria, ca at age 11 where he attended Fairlawn Elementary, Orcutt Jr. High and Santa Maria High where he graduated in 1965. He played football all four years of high school. He attended Allan Hancock College, played football and received a football scholarship to Sacramento State College, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. He taught for a few years and one summer got a job in car dealership to finance going back to school to get his masters degree. He was so good at car sales he decided to stay and was very successful for the next 25 years. He loved his family and friends, camping, and especially fishing. He played Santa Claus for children of friends and family for many years and then was hired by a lawyer friend Michael Clayton. A Santa booth was built where Dennis was Santa for 14 years!! Christmas will never be quite the same without his big smile and wonderful Ho, Ho, Ho. Dennis is survived by his mother Edetta Clendennen, two sisters, Judi Frei and Kathy Luis, favorite niece Lisa Santana, nieces, Kellie Churchman, Cheryl Willard, Vicky Johnson, Deanna Luis; nephews, Gary Frei, Mike Luis and Mark Luis, plus numerous great nieces and great nephews.
