Dr. Anil Kumar Roy

Dr. Anil Kumar Roy April 1, 1929 to August 26, 2019 (Age 90) Dr. Anil Kumar Roy was the youngest of eight boys born to Mohan Roy and his wife in Bangladesh. Young Anil and his family moved to Calcutta, India prior to partition of India where he received his education and medical training. He was a teacher and physician by profession. He mentored many students in post-graduate medical education. Dr. Roy donated his free time and days working for the poor and the sick in his community. After many productive years as a physician, professor and a community doctor, he came to the United Sates in May 1990 to live with his only daughter. He departed for his heavenly abode on August 26. His daughter Deboleena Roy and his two granddaughters Deveena Roy Banerjee and Anuhya Roy Banerjee survive him. The small family of Dr. Roy in the United States will miss and remember him every day.
