Backhus, Dorothy L. passed away in Roseville, CA. on August 12, 2024. Loving daughter of Franklin M. Pryer and Hazel Armstrong Pryer. Dearly beloved wife to Charles H. Backhus of Santa Clara, CA. Loving Mother to Sheryl (Backhus) Beckett of Auburn, CA. and David Backhus, of Sacramento, CA. She is preceded in death by Paul Backhus of San Jose, CA. She is also survived by her son Mark Backhus, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Dorothy was a native of Wichita, Kansas. Dorothy loved and treasured her family. She enjoyed artwork, cooking and baking, fishing and hunting with her husband Chuck, and helping her husband run their businesses, Mercury Rubber Stamp Co. and The C.H.B. Co.
