Donna Gwen Robison

Donna Gwen Robison was born on March 1, 1930 in Kintore, Ontario Canada to John and Katherine Crosier. She graduated from Oshawa General Hospital School of Nursing in 1951. Soon after graduation, she traveled by trainto Fresno, CAwith her friend Marie,where they both began their nursing careers. Donna married Ed Robison in 1952 and they had 3 children. In 1964, the family moved to Sacramento. Her marriage to Ed ended in divorce in 1971. Donna worked for Mercy San Juan and Mercy General Hospital for a total of 28 years. She worked the majority of those years in the Oncology Department and later transferred to Mercy Care as a supervisor to finish up her career. She enjoyed traveling all over the world with friends and was a voracious reader. She lived in the same house for 52 years and thoroughly enjoyed the last 15 months that she lived in assisted living at Eskaton Village Carmichael. Donna suffered a stroke a week prior to her passing on November 25, 2017. She was 87 years old. She is survived by her son, Kirk Robison of Elk Grove and her daughter, Kathy Bertrand (Tony) of Rocklin. She is also survived by her sister, Jean Scott of London, Ontario Canada, her grandchildren Katie Cox (Caleb), Zachary Bertrand, Melanie Bertrand and one great grandson, Adrian Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Thelma Beare, her son Kit Robison and her grandson Adam Robison. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Cemetery Chapel onSaturday, Dec. 9th at 12:00 pm.
