Dennis Ray Paul

March 2, 1950 — September 4, 2018

Dennis passed away peacefully in his sleep after a 4 year struggle with cancer. He was under the wonderful care in the home of his cousin, Sheryl and husband, Jon, in Sacramento. Because of their amazing care he did not suffer and comfortably ‘saddled up’ one last time to ride off to his next journey into the sunrise on the morning of Tuesday September 4, 2018. Dennis a true cowboy who rode bulls in rodeos from 18-22 years old. He has raised Thoroughbred and American Quarters horses for both horse racing and pleasure for the last 20 years. Dennis is survived by two loving sons, Erik Ray Washington Paul with his partner, Dr. Stephen Ellis, of San Francisco, John Scott Paul & wife Jill Paul and grandson, Tyler Gagnard of St. Landry, LA. He follows the passing (2011) of his wife and loving Mother of their two sons, Sandra Marie Paul. Dennis is the lone cowboy son of the late Alida Tyler (2015) whom he will now be reunited with in the peacefully here after. He is celebrated in memoriam by his family: aunts and uncles: Mildred, Gloria, Gladys and Clinton; cousins: Trina, Cindy, Butch, Therese, Denise, Robert, Linda, Clinton Jr., Lennette, Rene, Julie, Little Ray, Charlene, Debbie, Sandra, Clifford and Sheryl.(And many Others) Geraldine Muñoz, his mother in law, and the Jenkins family will also celebrate his life on Saturday 22, 2018 at 11am to 1 pm at Sierra View Funeral Chapel. 6201 Fair Oaks Blvd, Sacramento, CA. https://www.sacramentofuneralandcremation.com/notices/Dennis-Paul Dennis, having served in the Army from 1970 to 1972, will be laid to rest at The Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California.
